Willem de Kooning (April 24, 1904 – March 19, 1997)

Willem de Kooning is one of the most seminal figures of the Abstract Expressionist movement, though, as you can see, a lot of his works were outside the realm of abstraction. But it's New Year's Day and I'm very tired, so I'm going back to bed. Happy New Year everyone!

  2. I'm guessing, perhaps incorrectly, that this is Eva. Well, I should say that you're right, I'm not particularly fond of him. Though I don't know how you've figured it out (my terseness?). I do still think his works have interesting qualities, and I'm far too polite, at least on this site, to bluntly berate an artist. Does that answer work?
